Overall conclusion

Samuel Glasgow of Lisnagaver was not a son of Adam Glasgow on the best available direct evidence. The 1851 census explicitly calls Samuel the brother of household head John Glasgow. John's original 1846 marriage register names his father as John Glasgow, farmer, not Adam. The exact combination of John, wife Margaret, 1846 marriage, Lisnagaver residence, Rasharkin parish, and later shared household makes the identification strong.

The only residual qualification is that brother does not expressly say full brother. No evidence of a half-brother relationship has been found.
