The surviving 1851 Dunaghy census directly records Peggy Glasgo, aged 40 and born in County Antrim, as James Glasgo's wife at Ballycregagh. Both reported an 1848 marriage year. Peggy was alive in 1851, so the biography's statement that she died about 1811 was a birth/death error.

Overall conclusion

The return identifies Nancy and Jane Hamilton as Peggy's sisters and Robert and Catherine Hamilton as her parents. It calls the Glasgow children James's children, not Peggy's. Mary Glasgow of the 1847 workhouse group is a stronger mother candidate for the older children, but Peggy's earlier maternity is not impossible and her links should remain uncertain until a better replacement is proved.

The mortality return records her father Robert Hamilton (Hamilton-44031), linen weaver, aged 60, and her mother Cathrin (Unknown-764457), aged 58, both dying in spring 1848.
