About Andrew

The 1851 Ballycregagh mortality return calls Andy Glasgow a deceased five-year- old son of James Glasgow. This implies birth about 1845/46, not 1820. The return does not supply a death year, only that he had died by 1851. Peggy Hamilton married James in 1848, making a stepmother relationship plausible, but the later marriage does not concretely exclude premarital maternity. Peggy is therefore retained as an uncertain mother; Mary of the 1847 workhouse family remains another leading candidate.
