Overall conclusion

On 24 November 1869, Ann Jane Glasgow, a spinster of Kildowney, married Patrick Russell. The original civil marriage register names her father as James Glasgow, weaver. The best-supported identification is James Glasgow, whose family was recorded at Glenleslie in the 1847 Ballymena workhouse register and in the adjoining Dunaghy network in 1851. Together, these records establish Ann as James's daughter and James as John's son. Ann's mother is not identified.

Current conclusion

[[Glasgow-3168|Ann Jane Glasgow]] was born about 1833 in County Antrim. The
1851 census records her as an eighteen-year-old linen weaver and explicitly as
a granddaughter of [[Glasgow-1022|John Glasgow]] in his Glenleslie household.

On 24 November 1869, Ann Jane Glasgow, a spinster of Kildowney, married Patrick
Russell. The original civil marriage register names her father as **James
Glasgow, weaver**. The best-supported identification is
[[Glasgow-2981|James Glasgow]], whose family was recorded at Glenleslie in the
1847 Ballymena workhouse register and in the adjoining Dunaghy network in 1851.
Together, these records establish Ann as James's daughter and James as John's
son. Ann's mother is not identified.
