The Glasgow fishers
Robert, Ninian and their family emerge from burgess admissions, property deeds and testaments. John who married Jonet Mathie remains an identity question within this network.

Was John who married Jonet Mathie the living brother named by Ninian in 1613?
Ninian's 1596 admission calls him Robert the fisher's second son. His testament names son Robert, sister Marion and a living brother John. Robert the fisher is probably a son of William from the repeated craft and property evidence, but that parentage is not expressed in a record. John of Hirmenschelis, dead by 1577, cannot be the living brother.
