The earlier James-991 father hypothesis came from other Mid Calder child records that do not name this bride and is superseded. Mid Calder 1609 identity lead — 27 September 2026
Jonat Glasgow (Glasgow-3262)
was named with David Menzeis as a parent of Agnes Menzeis in the 7 December
1609 Mid Calder baptism, Scotland's People OPR 694/10/15. The 1624 Ramsy
bride shares the uncommon name and parish fifteen years later. A second
marriage is possible, but David's death or the first union's end has not been
established. This makes Glasgow-3262 a specific possible identity, not an
additional proved spouse or child of Glasgow-3183. If identified, her birth
would need to precede motherhood in 1609; the present before February 1598
boundary alone does not express that implication. The live managed biography
received this comparison and exact OPR reference on 27 September; the other
profile was not edited because it has a different manager.
