Biography
Jonet Cunningham—also recorded as Jonet Conynghame—was probably born in Scotland during the early seventeenth century. Her current estimated birth year of about 1624 is uncertain and is not supported by a known baptismal record.

A Glasgow parish index records a James Glasgow in November 1645 as a child of Robert Glasgow and Jonet Cunningham. This record directly establishes that a couple named Robert Glasgow and Jonet Cunningham were the parents of the Scottish child.

The father was probably Robert Glasgow, baptised at Glasgow in 1618. Their son was probably James Glasgow, who may later have become the James Glascho recorded at Kilwaughter, County Antrim, from 1669.

Neither identification is yet proved by a surviving record expressly connecting the 1645 family with the later Irish householders. Jonet’s relationship to Robert and James should therefore remain marked uncertain where the profiles represent that proposed Scottish-to-Irish reconstruction.

No reliable record has yet been identified for Jonet’s parents, marriage, later residence or death.

The FamilySearch index reports a James Glasgow recorded at Glasgow in November 1645 to parents Robert Glasgow and Jonet Cunningham. 

Derivative references give conflicting dates, including 11 and 25 November. The original Old Parish Register page has not yet been reviewed, so it remains unclear:

* which date is correct;
* whether the event was a birth, baptism or registration;
* whether an occupation or residence was recorded for the father;
* who appeared as witnesses or sponsors.

The profile should therefore refer only to November 1645 unless the original entry is obtained.
Estimated birth
Jonet’s birth year of about 1624 is an estimate rather than a documented event.

It appears to have been calculated from the 1645 record of her child. No source currently gives Jonet’s age or birthplace. Her birth should remain uncertain, and Scotland should not be entered as a more precise place without additional evidence.
Proposed husband
Robert Glasgow, baptised at Glasgow on 17 November 1618, is the best current candidate for the Robert named with Jonet in the 1645 entry.

That placement is chronologically plausible and fits the proposed reconstruction connecting the Glasgow family with Larne and Kilwaughter in County Antrim.

The 1645 index does not give Robert’s age, occupation or parentage. It therefore cannot by itself prove that Jonet’s husband was the man baptised in 1618. Their relationship should remain uncertain.
Proposed son
The Scottish James recorded in November 1645 was directly a son of a Robert Glasgow and Jonet Cunningham. 

He is probably James Glasgow, later recorded as a householder and Presbyterian congregation member at Kilwaughter. A 1645 birth would make him about twenty-four at the time of the 1669 Hearth Money Roll.

No surviving record explicitly states that the Scottish child became the Kilwaughter householder. If Glasgow-1081 represents both identities, Jonet’s structured relationship to him should therefore remain uncertain.
Not the older Jonet Cunningham
This Jonet must not be confused with Jonet Conynghame, wife of Robert Glasgow and mother of the Robert baptised in 1618.
