The Edinburgh apprenticeship of 12 January 1648 (apprentice to William Blackwood, merchant; son of the late Thomas, maltman and burgess of Glasgow) was once read as a John Glasgow entry and considered for this profile, for Glasgow-3610 and, as father, for Thomas Glasgow-1103. A page-image review on 30 September 2026 found it under the printed Gray heading: Francis J. Grant, ed., Register of Apprentices of the City of Edinburgh, 1583–1666 (1906), printed p. 75 (printed transcription seen as a page image; the manuscript register was not inspected). It is a John Gray record and supplies no event or relationship evidence for this John. See research/record-john-glasgow-edinburgh-1648/findings.md.
