Overall conclusion
Jonet Spreull was the wife of John Glasgow (Glasgow-1093). The 1534 protocol names her as John's wife; a 1565 protocol reserves liferent to John and Jonet while naming William Glasgow as John's son. Protocol 2189 of 17 June 1575 expressly identifies Jonet as mother of John's son Stephen Glasgow (Glasgow-1029); its full citation and wording were verified against the digitized edition on 27 September 2026. Stephen later witnessed William's son's inheritance and served as his curator in 1586. The combined marriage, kinship, chronology and household evidence supports Jonet as William's confident, inferred mother, saved and read back on William's profile on 27 September 2026. Protocol 847 alone does not expressly call her William's mother, and the inference should be revisited if an earlier marriage is documented.
