Overall conclusion

The project now also uses Glasgow-3296 for John Glasgow of Montfoid, husband of Bessie Robertson in 1610. This is a workable same-person identification by name and generation, but the record does not bridge Montfoid in Ayrshire to Quothquan in Lanarkshire. Present the 1610 occurrence as an uncertain earlier identity rather than a proved movement.

Glasgow-3608 now also redirects to this profile. That former profile represented the father named in Mid Calder baptisms of Jhone in 1608 and William in 1609. The baptisms prove those local father-child pairs but do not identify the father with the Montfoid or Quodquen man. Preserve both children only as uncertain relationships and keep the three-place identity problem explicit.

was confirmed on 27 May 1650. Its biography cites the original testament and
